A new multi-tier solution has been delivered the The Royal Hallamshire Hospital medical records department, replacing the aging Dolphin handheld computers. Customer-selected Honeywell devices have been used to deliver a new software solution, replacing the existing mobile casenote tracking application which has been running since 2003.
Reports indicate that users of the system have been delighted with the replacement application, finding it very easy to use. Careful planning during the development phase ensured users can operate with stylus or keyboard entry, as prefered, and the processing follows closely the original and well known sequences.
The Honeywell device is running Windows Mobile and includes integrated linear barcode reader and WiFi.
